Your Past Doesn't Define You! July, 7 2026

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”

Today’s Word

The cross is proof that God's love is unconditional, unchanging, and undeserved. Jesus became the perfect sacrifice for our sins so that nothing could stand between the Father and us.

Many people live as though they must earn God's love through good behavior, religious performance, or constant striving. But this verse reminds us that love always starts with God. He made the first move. He loved us when we were still far from Him and provided everything we needed through Jesus Christ.

When you truly understand this kind of love, fear begins to lose its grip. Guilt no longer defines you, and shame no longer has the final word. You can approach God with confidence, not because of your perfection, but because of Christ's finished work.

Prayer

Father, help me to live free from fear, guilt, and condemnation. Let Your love shape my thoughts, my words, and my actions. Teach me to rest in Your grace and to share that same love with everyone I meet today. Thank You that nothing can separate me from Your love. I choose to walk in the confidence of being Your beloved child. In Jesus' name, Amen.
