Clothed in Compassion! July 24, 2026

“Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

Colossians 3:12

Today’s Word

Before God tells us how to live, He reminds us of who we are. You are God's chosen, holy, and dearly loved. Our identity in Christ is the foundation for everything we do.

Just as we intentionally choose what to wear each day, God calls us to intentionally "put on" compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. These qualities reflect the heart of Christ and have the power to transform our relationships, workplaces, and communities.

In a world that often encourages pride, impatience, and harsh words, God invites us to be different. Every interaction is an opportunity to display His love through our actions and attitudes. As we surrender our hearts to Him, the Holy Spirit empowers us to live in a way that honors Christ and blesses those around us.

Today, ask yourself: What am I wearing spiritually? Choose to be clothed with the character of Christ and let His love be seen through you.

Prayer

Father, let my words and actions reflect the heart of Jesus. Teach me to extend grace to others as You have graciously extended it to me. May my life be a testimony of Your love to everyone I encounter today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
