Standing Firm in Faith! September 19, 2025

“In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.”

2 Timothy 3:12

Today’s Word

This verse is a sober reminder that following Christ is not always easy. Paul tells us plainly that living a godly life will invite challenges, opposition, and even persecution. Just as Daniel faced opposition when he remained faithful to God, we too may encounter resistance when we choose righteousness over compromise.

But take heart—opposition is often evidence that we are walking in alignment with God’s will. Persecution does not mean God has abandoned us; rather, it can be a sign that His light in us is shining brightly in a dark world. Through trials, our faith is refined, and our witness becomes stronger.

When difficulties come because of your devotion to Christ, remember that you are not alone. The same God who delivered Daniel, the same God who strengthened Paul, is with you. His Spirit empowers you to stand firm, endure, and remain faithful.

Prayer

Father, thank You for reminding me that persecution is part of living a godly life. Help me not to be discouraged when I face challenges for my faith. Strengthen me with Your Spirit to remain steadfast, bold, and faithful. May my endurance point others to Your love and power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
