“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”

Today’s Word

Too often, we treat our spiritual lives and daily goals like a self-powered hustle. We try to force joy, manufacture patience, or grind our way into peace. But Jesus reminds us that trying to live a fruitful life apart from Him is like pinning an apple to a dead stick—it’s artificial and won't last. True spiritual growth, peace of mind, and purpose are the natural results of staying close to Him through prayer, quiet reflection, and gratitude.

Instead of focusing on a massive to-do list today, shift your focus to your "to-be" list. Find small moments throughout your day to check in with God. Take a deep breath and remind yourself: I don't have to carry this day on my own. I just need to stay connected to the Vine.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, forgive me for the times I try to do everything in my own strength. Remind me today that my worth and my productivity come from being connected to You. Help me to rest in Your presence, trust Your timing, and allow Your love to flow through me to the people I meet today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
