“Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.”

Romans 13:10

Today’s Word

It is easy to see faith as a giant checklist of rules. We focus heavily on what not to do—don't lie, don't steal, don't harbor anger. While those boundaries are crucial, the Apostle Paul simplifies our entire spiritual framework into a single, active command: Love.

Paul explains that love isn't just a warm feeling; it is the ultimate fulfillment of God's law. When you truly operate out of love, you naturally protect and honor the people around you. You don't just avoid harming your neighbor; you actively seek their highest good. Love transforms obedience from a rigid chore into a natural overflow of a changed heart.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me what perfect love looks like through Jesus. Forgive me for the times I treat my faith like a checklist instead of a relationship. Soften my heart today so that I can see my neighbors through Your eyes. Help me to speak words that heal and take actions that build others up. May Your love flow through me to everyone I meet. Amen.
