Rooted to Flourish! January 2, 2026

“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on His law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.”

Psalm 1:1–3

Today’s Word

As we begin this new season, Psalm 1 reminds us of the power of where we choose to stand—and what we choose to dwell on. A life rooted in God’s Word is not shaken by changing circumstances. Like a tree planted by flowing water, those who delight in the Lord are nourished, strengthened, and sustained.

This year, God invites us to be intentional with our time, our thoughts, and our direction. When we meditate on His Word and align our lives with His truth, growth follows naturally. Even in challenging seasons, God promises fruit, stability, and purpose for those who remain rooted in Him.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the wisdom and guidance found in Your Word. As I step into this new year, help me choose paths that honor You and thoughts that draw me closer to You. Plant my life firmly in Your truth so I may grow strong, steady, and fruitful in every season. Guard my heart from distractions, strengthen my faith, and let my life reflect Your goodness. May everything I do be rooted in You. Amen.
