Is the Chase Worth the Cost? October 12, 2026

“What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?”

Today’s Word

You could successfully chase and capture everything this world has to offer, but if you lose your connection to God and your eternal destiny, your net gain is zero.

Your soul is your most valuable possession. It is the eternal part of you, created by God and built for fellowship with Him. Earthly treasures are temporary; they fade, break, and are eventually left behind. Today, take a moment to evaluate where you are investing your time and energy. Are you building a life based on temporary gains, or are you investing in things that matter for eternity?

Prayer

Dear Lord, thank You for speaking directly to my heart through Your Word. Forgive me for the times I listen out of routine rather than a genuine desire to change. Today, give me an open heart to hear You clearly and the courage to obey what You reveal. Let my actions speak of Your love, grace, and truth. In Jesus' name, Amen.
