“But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves,’ God said, ‘and afterward they will come out of that country and worship me in this place.”
Acts 7:7
Today’s Word
Acts 7:7 reminds us that God is deeply aware of injustice and suffering. He sees oppression, hears the cries of His people, and promises that bondage will not have the final word. What may feel like a long season of waiting is not wasted—God is working toward deliverance, justice, and restoration.
This verse also shows us God’s greater purpose: freedom that leads to worship. God did not only promise to bring His people out of slavery; He promised to bring them into a place where they could freely honor Him. Deliverance is not just about escape—it’s about transformation. God frees us so we can live fully in relationship with Him.
Even today, when we feel trapped by fear, circumstances, or past wounds, God’s promise remains true. He is a God who brings people out, restores dignity, and leads them into a life of purpose, gratitude, and worship.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for being a God who sees, delivers, and restores. Help me trust You in seasons where freedom feels far away. Lead me out of every place that holds me back and into a life that honors You. May my freedom always lead me closer to worshiping You with my whole heart. Amen.
