Today’s Word

We live in a culture that deeply values independence and self-reliance. We are often told to "trust our gut" or figure things out on our own. However, God’s wisdom offers a completely different perspective: true success is rarely a solo journey.

Proverbs 15:22 reminds us that isolation is the enemy of progress. When we try to make major life choices entirely within the Echo chamber of our own minds, we are prone to blind spots. We let our emotions, biases, or limited experiences cloud our judgment. God didn't design us to walk through life or make big decisions in a vacuum.

Seeking counsel isn't a sign of weakness; it is a sign of maturity and strength. By inviting wise, godly people into our decision-making processes, we benefit from their experiences, perspectives, and spiritual discernment. A "multitude of counselors" acts as a safety net, protecting us from costly mistakes and helping us establish a firm, reliable path forward.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of community and the wisdom found in others. Forgive me for the times I have let pride or independence drive my choices. Give me a humble heart that is willing to seek and receive wise counsel. Help me surround myself with godly advisers who speak truth in love, so that my plans may align with Your will and succeed for Your glory. Amen.
