“He Himself bore our sins” in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by His wounds you have been healed.”
1 Peter 2:24
Today’s Word
Jesus didn’t just die for sin in general. He carried your sin. Your shame. Your pain. And He did it willingly, so that you could live differently—freely. Righteously. Healed.
Sometimes we still carry things He already paid for—guilt, regret, or the pressure to earn God’s love. But this verse is a quiet invitation to lay those things down. The healing has already been given. The burden has already been lifted.
Because of His wounds, you don’t have to live wounded anymore.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for what You carried on the cross—for every sin, every wound, and every heavy thing I couldn’t carry on my own. Help me walk in the freedom and healing You’ve already given me. Teach me to live for what is right—not to earn Your love, but because I already have it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
