Wisdom to Know Him! September 4, 2026

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.”

Ephesians 1:17

Today’s Word

Paul’s prayer reminds us that wisdom and revelation come from God. We cannot understand everything through human knowledge alone. We need the Holy Spirit to open our hearts and give us spiritual understanding.

Sometimes we ask God to change our circumstances when what we truly need is greater revelation of who He is. When we know Him more deeply, we begin to see our situations differently. We discover that He is faithful when life is uncertain, present when we feel alone, and working even when we cannot see the answer.

Today, ask God not only for blessings, direction, or answers, but for wisdom to understand His ways and revelation to know Him more deeply. The more we know Him, the more confidently we can walk by faith.

Prayer

Lord, give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation so that I may know You more deeply. Open my heart to understand Your Word and recognize Your presence in my life. Help me to see my circumstances through Your perspective and trust You even when I do not understand. May my desire be not only to receive from You, but to truly know You. Amen.
