Victory and Humility! October 10, 2025

ree
“When the army is carried off, the king will be filled with pride and will slaughter many thousands, yet he will not remain triumphant.”

Daniel 11:12

Today’s Word

This verse reveals a powerful truth about human pride and fleeting victories. The king, though victorious for a time, allowed pride to rule his heart, forgetting that all success ultimately comes from God. Temporary triumphs can deceive us into thinking we are invincible—but apart from God, even the strongest fall.

Daniel 11:12 reminds us that pride blinds and weakens, while humility sustains and strengthens. The Lord desires that we stay grounded, giving Him glory for every win, and seeking His wisdom even in success. True victory is not measured by how much we conquer, but by how faithfully we walk with God through both triumphs and trials.

When we depend on our own power, we risk losing what truly matters. But when we surrender our victories to God, He establishes something greater—character, faith, and lasting purpose.

Prayer

Lord, help me remain humble in every victory and steadfast in every challenge. Teach me to see success as an opportunity to honor You, not myself. Guard my heart from pride, and remind me that true triumph is found in walking faithfully with You. Amen.
