“But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

2 Corinthians 12:9

Today’s Word

We often treat grace like a one-time ticket, something that saves us at the beginning of our faith journey but leaves us to handle the rest on our own. We try to white-knuckle our way through trials, believing that perseverance is entirely up to our own willpower.

But true grace is not just a safety net for the past; it is the fuel for your present.

When you find yourself in a season of testing, God does not demand perfection. He offers unmerited favor. Grace means that when your strength runs out, His power is just getting started. You are saved by grace, but you are also sustained by an unwavering love that refuses to let you go. Today, stop trying to be strong enough on your own. Lean into the grace that has already covered you, and let it carry you through.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You that Your grace is always sufficient for me. Forgive me for the times I try to carry my burdens alone. When I am weak, remind me that Your power is made perfect in me. Ground me in Your unfailing love today, and give me the endurance to stand firm. Amen.
