"But the Lord answered her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one.’"

Luke 10:40

Today’s Word

This verse reminds us to focus on what truly matters: our relationship with God. Martha’s distraction with tasks and worries shows how easily we can get caught up in busyness, forgetting the most important thing—spending time with the Lord.

Luke 10:40 teaches us that our priorities shape our peace and perspective. No matter how much we accomplish, it is only when we remain attentive to God that we find fulfillment and purpose.

Prayer

Lord, help me focus on what is truly important. Teach me to seek You first in every moment and to not be distracted by worries or tasks. Draw me closer to You and guide my heart to prioritize Your presence above all else. Amen.
