“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
Proverbs 3:5–6
Today’s Word
One of the greatest battles we face is the temptation to rely on our own understanding. We want to know how everything will work out. We want every answer before we take the next step. But God has never asked us to figure out our future—He has asked us to trust Him with it.
Faith begins where human understanding ends. When we cannot see the road ahead, we can still trust the One who does. God sees the beginning and the end at the same time. Nothing surprises Him, nothing catches Him off guard, and nothing is beyond His power to redeem.
Sometimes the Lord doesn't reveal the entire plan because He is teaching us to walk by faith instead of by sight. Every step of obedience strengthens our confidence in His faithfulness. As we acknowledge Him in every decision, He faithfully directs our path according to His perfect will.
This weekend, resist the urge to worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow belongs to God. Your responsibility is not to carry the weight of the future but to remain faithful today. Trust Him with the questions you cannot answer, the doors you cannot open, and the circumstances you cannot change.
The God who has led you this far will not abandon you now. His wisdom is perfect, His timing is never late, and His promises never fail. Walk into the new week with quiet confidence, knowing that every step you place in His hands will be guided by His loving care.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, Today I choose to trust You with all my heart. Forgive me for the times I have leaned on my own understanding instead of depending on Your wisdom. Help me to surrender every plan, every concern, and every unanswered question into Your hands.
Teach me to follow You one step at a time, believing that You are directing my path even when I cannot see where it leads. Fill my heart with peace instead of worry and faith instead of fear. Let Your Word guide my decisions, and let Your Holy Spirit remind me that You are always faithful to those who trust in You. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
