The Blueprint of Abiding! October 5, 2026

“The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.”

 1 John 3:24 

Today’s Word

It is one thing to know about God, but it is an entirely different reality to remain in Him. To abide or remain means to make your home there. John reminds us that staying connected to God isn't a guessing game or a vague feeling. It is marked by a life of willing obedience and confirmed by the quiet, steady presence of the Holy Spirit.

When you choose to keep His commandments—to love your neighbor, to walk in truth, and to practice grace—you aren't just following a list of rules. You are aligning your heart with His. That alignment creates a beautiful rhythm: you dwell in God, and God dwells in you. If you ever feel distant from Him, look to the Holy Spirit within you. He is your constant anchor, your counselor, and the living proof that you belong to God.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the incredible gift of Your Holy Spirit living inside me. Forgive me for the moments I try to walk in my own strength or wander away from Your truths. Help me to love what You love and walk in obedience to Your commands. I want to make my permanent home in Your presence today. Guard my heart, guide my steps, and let Your peace rule in my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
