Today’s Word

Mark 8:15 is a loving reminder from Jesus to stay spiritually alert. The “yeast” He mentions symbolizes influences—attitudes, beliefs, or behaviors—that can quietly grow and affect our hearts. Jesus urges us to guard our minds and spirits, staying aware of what we allow to shape us.

In a world full of voices, opinions, and pressures, this verse teaches us to be discerning. Not everything we hear or absorb is aligned with God’s truth. Jesus invites us to filter our thoughts through His Word, to be careful of influences that lead us away from Him, and to intentionally choose what keeps our faith sincere and strong.

Prayer

Lord, keep my heart watchful and my spirit discerning. Help me recognize influences that do not honor You and reject anything that leads me away from Your truth. Fill me with wisdom so I can walk faithfully and stay grounded in Your Word. Amen.
