“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7
Today’s Word
Peace is not something we are trying to get from God—it is something He has already placed within us. The day you received Jesus, His peace became a part of your spirit. Now it is our responsibility to give that peace first place in our lives.
The world is full of opportunities to be troubled. Circumstances may try to pull on your thoughts. Reports may try to stir up fear. Situations may try to pressure you into worry. But none of those things have the right to govern your life. God's peace is to be the ruling force.
When you keep your attention on God's Word, your spirit remains strong and your peace remains undisturbed. Peace is a sign that your heart is resting in what God has said rather than in what circumstances are saying.
Don't permit anxiety to occupy a place that belongs to peace. Feed on the Word. Spend time fellowshipping with the Father. As you do, His peace will rise up within you and keep your heart steady. The greater the pressure around you, the more valuable it is to stay full of His peace.
Today, refuse to yield to agitation, worry, or fear. Let the peace of God have the final say. His peace is greater than any challenge you may face, and it will keep you strong, stable, and victorious.
Prayer
Father, thank You that Your peace lives in me. I choose to keep my mind stayed on You and on Your Word. I refuse to yield to worry, fear, or anxiety. Your peace governs my heart and directs my steps today. I trust You completely, and I thank You for keeping me steady, strong, and full of faith. In Jesus' name, Amen.
