Power of Praise! July 19, 2026

“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.”

Psalms 59:16

Today’s Word

Praise is an act of faith. It declares that God is still good even when life is difficult. It shifts our focus from the size of our problems to the greatness of our God. While their bodies were in chains, their spirits remained free because their confidence was anchored in the Lord.

Perhaps you're walking through a "midnight" season today. Remember that your praise is not based on your circumstances but on God's unchanging character. He is worthy of worship in every season. As you choose to trust Him, even before you see the answer, you make room for His power to move in ways you could never imagine.

Don't wait for the breakthrough to praise Him. Praise Him because He is faithful, because He is present, and because He is already working behind the scenes.

Prayer

Thank You for being my refuge in every season of life. When I find myself in dark or uncertain moments, help me to lift my eyes to You instead of focusing on my circumstances. Fill my heart with faith that chooses praise over fear and trust over doubt.

Teach me to worship You before I see the answer, knowing that You are always working for my good. May my life be a testimony of Your faithfulness, encouraging others to place their hope in You. I believe You are able to break every chain, open every door, and bring victory in Your perfect time. In Jesus' name, Amen.
