More Precious Than Wisdom and Diligence! November 20, 2025

“A sluggard’s appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.”

Proverbs 3:14

Today’s Word

Proverbs 3:14 reminds us that the wisdom God gives is worth more than silver and gold—more lasting than any achievement, title, or possession. It enriches our lives with clarity, peace, and direction, giving us treasures the world cannot offer.

Proverbs 13:4 complements this truth by showing us another dimension of godly living: diligence. “The soul of the diligent is made fat,” meaning those who consistently pursue what is right, who show up faithfully even when it’s hard, will experience fulfillment and blessing. Wisdom guides our path; diligence helps us walk it out.

Together, these verses reveal a powerful truth:God desires not only to fill our minds with wisdom but to shape our daily lives with purpose. Wisdom shows us the better way, and diligence empowers us to follow it. Prayer

Lord, help me treasure Your wisdom and live it out with a diligent heart. Teach me to value what You value and to walk faithfully in the path You show me. Strengthen my hands, steady my spirit, and make my efforts fruitful for Your glory. Fill me with a desire to honor You in both my thoughts and my actions. Amen.
