Mirroring Christ Over The Culture! October 3, 2026

“Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven..”

Luke 10:20

Today’s Word

The culture tells us to find our identity and joy in our performance, our influence, and our measurable success. Even when doing God's work, it is easy to get caught up in our own accomplishments. In this passage, the disciples return thrilled by their spiritual authority. But Jesus gently redirects them. He reminds them that the greatest miracle isn't what they can do in His name, but what He has done for them. Our cultural accomplishments fade, but our citizenship in heaven is eternal.

Prayer

Lord, protect me from seeking validation through worldly success or my own abilities. Teach me to rejoice simply because I am Yours, and my name is forever written in Your book. Amen.
