“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Matthew 6:34
Today's Word
Jesus teaches us the power of living one day at a time. Too many believers get caught up in worrying about tomorrow—what will happen, how things will unfold—but Jesus clearly tells us not to do that. Why? Because when the focus is on tomorrow, the power of today is missed. Each day has its own grace, its own provision, and its own anointing. One can’t live in tomorrow, but one can live in the fullness of God’s provision for today.
Now, let’s remember this: Jesus said in Matthew 18:3, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Childlike faith is key to receiving everything God has. Children don’t worry about tomorrow. They trust their parents completely to provide for them each day. This is the kind of faith we are called to have! Trusting God fully, believing He will provide everything needed for today, just as a child trusts their parent.
Understand this—God’s grace is sufficient for today. Whatever is faced right now, God has already provided the strength, wisdom, and peace needed to walk through it. Don’t let tomorrow’s worries rob today’s blessings. Trust in God’s ability to meet needs right now, and believe that as the focus remains on today, He will take care of tomorrow.
God’s provision is always on time. As focus is on His goodness in the present, His hand will move mightily on behalf of all who trust in Him!
Prayer
Father, thank You that Your grace is sufficient for today. It is declared that there will be no worry about tomorrow, but the focus will be on Your provision for today, trusting You with childlike faith. God is the Provider, and every need will be met according to His riches in glory. Thank You for the strength to face each day with faith, knowing that You are with every step taken.
In Jesus’ name, Amen!
