Let Nothing Hold You Back! August 13, 2025

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."

Today’s Word

This verse is a beautiful reminder that we are never alone in our journey of faith. We are surrounded by a “great cloud of witnesses”—heroes of faith whose lives testify to God’s goodness. Their example inspires us to keep going, no matter the challenges. God has set before each of us a unique race, filled with purpose and promise. When we let go of the weights of worry and fear, we run lighter, freer, and with greater joy. With our eyes fixed on Jesus, we can endure, overcome, and finish strong, knowing the best is yet to come.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the witnesses who have gone before me, showing what it means to live by faith. Help me release every burden that slows me down and run my race with joy and perseverance. Fill my heart with hope, my steps with strength, and my eyes with vision for the finish You’ve prepared for me. Amen.
