“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
1 John 15:13
Today’s Word
Memorial Day reminds us that freedom is never free. Someone sacrificed. Someone stood in the gap. Someone gave what others would not give so future generations could live protected and free.
As believers, we also recognize the greatest sacrifice ever made — Jesus laying down His life for us. Because of His sacrifice, we now walk in victory, peace, authority, and covenant blessing.
Honor is important to God. When we honor sacrifice, we value what was given. We do not live carelessly with what cost someone greatly.
Don’t waste your days in fear, distraction, offense, or compromise. Live intentionally. Carry yourself with gratitude. Be a blessing to others. Stand strong in faith. Walk in love. Refuse small thinking.
There are people who prayed for the opportunities you now have. There are sacrifices behind doors God opened for you. There is grace on your life that should not be treated casually.
Today, remember with gratitude — but also live with purpose.
The greatest way to honor sacrifice is to make your life count.
Prayer
Father, thank You for every sacrifice made so others could live in freedom and peace. I choose to live with gratitude, honor, and purpose. Help me never take lightly the blessings You have placed in my life. Strengthen me to walk worthy of the calling You’ve given me. I refuse complacency, fear, and compromise. I will live boldly, love deeply, and fulfill what You’ve called me to do. In Jesus’ name, amen.
