Growing Through Challenges! April 28, 2026

“Consider it pure joy… whenever you face trials… because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”

James 1:2-4

Today’s Word

No one naturally celebrates hardship. Trials are uncomfortable, painful, and often confusing. Yet this passage invites a radical perspective: challenges can be a place of growth.

God doesn’t waste your struggles. Every difficulty carries the potential to deepen your faith, strengthen your endurance, and shape your character. The process may not be easy, but it is meaningful.

Think of growth like a seed pushing through soil—it requires pressure and resistance. In the same way, your challenges may be the very thing stretching you into who you’re meant to become.

Joy in trials doesn’t mean pretending everything is fine. It means trusting that something good is being formed even in the difficulty.

Prayer

Lord, help me see my challenges through Your perspective. Give me strength to endure and faith to believe that You are working through every situation. Grow me in ways I can’t yet see. Amen.
