Eyes on Jesus! August 16, 2025

“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

 Hebrews 12:2

Today’s Word

When life weighs heavy, our strength is not found in our own effort but in keeping our eyes on Jesus. He endured suffering because of the joy that lay ahead—our salvation. He knows what it means to persevere through pain and gives us the grace to press on. By looking to Him, we find courage to run our race faithfully, knowing that victory is already secured in Christ.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for being the Author and Perfecter of my faith. When I grow weary, remind me that You endured the cross so that I could live in freedom. Teach me to keep my eyes on You, not on the distractions or burdens around me. Give me endurance to press on, faith to believe that Your plan is perfect, and courage to stand firm even in trials. May my life bring honor to You, and may every step I take point others to Your unfailing love and victory. Help me to finish my race strong, always with my gaze fixed on You. Amen.
