Don’t Fall for the Shortcut July 6

Today’s Word

Temptation often comes dressed in promises of power, prestige, and pleasure. The enemy will try to show you everything you could have—without showing you what it will cost.

This verse is a sobering reminder that even Jesus was tempted with shortcuts and glory. But He didn’t take the bait—because He knew His identity and His purpose.

You will be tempted with things that glitter. But not everything that shines is from God. When you know who you are and who you belong to, you can stand strong like Jesus did.

Prayer

Lord, help me to discern what’s from You and what’s a distraction. Keep my heart anchored in Your truth so I won’t be fooled by temporary glories. I choose obedience over shortcuts. Amen.
