“I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
Psalm 139:14
Today’s Word
There are days when you look at yourself and feel like you don’t measure up. Maybe you compare your achievements, your appearance, or your progress to others and feel like you’re falling behind. The world constantly pushes the idea that you need to be “more”—more successful, more talented, more put-together.
But God’s truth speaks differently.
Before anyone else had an opinion about you, God already declared your worth. You are fearfully and wonderfully made—crafted with intention, not by accident. Every detail of who you are was designed with purpose. Your strengths, your personality, even the things you’re still growing in—none of it is random.
Feeling “not good enough” often comes from measuring yourself by the wrong standards. God never asked you to be like someone else. He created you to be you.
And here’s the powerful part: your worth is not based on what you accomplish, how others see you, or how perfect you can be. Your worth is already established because you belong to Him.
That doesn’t mean you’ll never have flaws or insecurities—but it does mean those things don’t define your value. You are still growing, still becoming, and still deeply loved in every stage.
So when those thoughts come—“I’m not enough,” “I’ll never be like them,” “I don’t measure up”—pause and remember this truth: God doesn’t make mistakes. And He didn’t make one with you.
Prayer
Lord, sometimes I struggle with feeling like I’m not enough. I compare myself to others and forget how You see me. Help me to remember that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Teach me to find my worth in You, not in the opinions of others or my own doubts. Remind me daily that I am chosen, loved, and created with purpose. Amen.
