All Things Are Possible! September 29, 2026

“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 19:26

Today’s Word

We often run into walls in our lives, situations where our energy, our intelligence, and our resources simply fall short. In this passage, the disciples were feeling that exact sense of helplessness. Jesus had just explained how difficult it is for human effort to attain salvation. The disciples, overwhelmed, asked, "Who then can be saved?"

Jesus’ response shifts the focus entirely away from human capability and places it squarely on God’s sovereign power.

This verse is not a magical guarantee that we will get everything we want. Instead, it is a profound reminder of who God is. When you face a broken relationship that seems beyond repair, a financial hurdle that feels insurmountable, or a personal habit you cannot seem to break, your human assessment might tell you it is "impossible." And on your own, it might be.

But true faith begins where our control ends. When we surrender our limitations to God, we open the door for His grace and power to work in ways we could never plan or imagine.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You that my limitations do not limit You. Forgive me for the times I rely on my own strength and give up when things look impossible. Today, I surrender my worries and my obstacles to You, trusting that You can make a way where I see no way. Amen.
