“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:32
Today’s Word
Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you may never see.
The cashier who seems distracted may have received heartbreaking news. The coworker who is short-tempered may be carrying overwhelming pressure. The stranger who doesn't smile may simply be trying to make it through the day.
As believers, we're not called to respond to people based on how they treat us—we're called to respond according to who we are in Christ.
Kindness isn't weakness. It's a fruit of the Spirit. It reflects the heart of our Heavenly Father. Sometimes the greatest ministry you'll ever have is a gentle word, a patient response, or a sincere smile. What seems small to you may be the very thing someone prayed for.
Don't let the world's harshness harden your heart. Stay tender. Stay compassionate. When you choose kindness, you're allowing God's love to flow through you to someone who desperately needs it.
Today, ask the Lord to help you see people through His eyes. Your kindness may be the evidence of His presence in someone's darkest moment.
Prayer
Father, thank You for Your kindness toward me. Today I choose to be patient, compassionate, and full of grace. Help me see people the way You see them and respond with love instead of judgment. Let my words bring life, my actions reflect Jesus, and my heart remain tender to those around me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
