"From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised."

Psalm 113:3

Todays Word

There’s no moment in the day when God isn’t worthy of praise. From the first light of morning to the quiet of evening, His name deserves to be exalted. This isn’t just a nice sentiment; it’s a command. From sunrise to sunset, God’s glory should fill every moment. The day doesn’t have to be perfect for praise to be lifted. In fact, praise often becomes more powerful when everything feels a little off, when things aren’t going as planned.

It’s easy to lift praises when life feels good. The sun is shining, there’s peace in the house, and everything falls into place. But what happens when the schedule is packed, the worries are heavy, or the frustrations begin to mount? Does praise stop when the day gets tough? No. Praise is the weapon that shifts perspective, the anchor in the storm. Praising God when life feels hard is a declaration that He is still in control, that He is still worthy, and that His goodness never changes.

Praise is not about circumstances; it’s about the character of God. Whether things are high or low, His name is worthy to be praised. The moment the praise starts, the focus moves off the problem and onto the Provider. It’s a declaration that God is bigger than any circumstance, greater than any worry, and more faithful than anything this world can throw your way.

So, today, choose to praise. From the moment the sun rises until it sets, let the name of the Lord be on the lips. Praise Him in the mundane, praise Him in the chaos, praise Him in the peace. Because when God’s people make a decision to praise, everything shifts. Praise changes the atmosphere, it renews the mind, and it aligns the heart with Heaven’s purpose.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the privilege of praising Your holy name at every moment of the day. No matter what the circumstances are, You are worthy of all honor and glory. Teach to lift up praises in every season, whether in peace or in trial. Let the name of the Lord be on the lips throughout every moment of today, from sunrise to sunset. May Your presence fill every part of this day, and may praise always be the response. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
