“Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
Psalm 30:5
Today’s Word
There are seasons in life when the “night” feels longer than expected—when pain lingers, answers don’t come quickly, and hope feels distant. In those moments, it’s easy to wonder if things will ever truly change. The weight of sadness, disappointment, or loss can feel overwhelming, as if it might last forever. But this verse gently reminds you that darkness is never permanent.
God is always working, even in the unseen hours. He is restoring what feels broken, strengthening what feels weak, and preparing your heart for brighter days. This doesn’t mean the past didn’t hurt—it means the pain will not have the final word.
Hold on to hope, even if it’s just a small thread. The night has an end, and your story is still unfolding. Joy is not lost—it is on its way.
Prayer
Lord, You see every tear I’ve cried and every burden I’ve been carrying. You know the moments when the night feels too long, and the weight of everything feels too heavy.
Bring light into the dark places in my life. Restore my heart, renew my strength, and gently lead me toward healing. Even in the waiting, help me notice small glimpses of Your goodness. I place my pain in Your hands, trusting that You are working all things for good. Thank You for the promise that joy is coming again. Amen.
