“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them…”
Matthew 6:1
Today’s Word
God gently reminds us that He alone is the true audience of our lives. While the world values what is loud, visible, and praised, heaven treasures what is quiet, sincere, and unseen. The small choices we make when no one is watching—the kindness we extend without being thanked, the prayers whispered in the stillness, the generosity we offer without expecting anything back—these are the moments that reveal the truth of our hearts.
Jesus calls us to live with motives rooted in love, not validation. When we choose to honor God in secret, we discover a deeper and more lasting reward: His presence, His approval, and His peace. The applause of people fades quickly, but the blessings that come from a pure heart endure.
God sees the tears we wipe away quietly, the sacrifices no one will ever know, and the faithfulness we give in silence. Nothing done for Him is ever wasted. Even when the world overlooks it, heaven does not.
Prayer
Lord, keep my heart sincere and humble. Teach me to live for Your eyes alone and not for the recognition of others. Help me trust that You see every act of love, sacrifice, and obedience—even the ones done in secret. Purify my motives and let my life reflect genuine devotion to You. Amen.
