Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.
Psalm 1:1-3
Today’s Word
In a world that often rushes and reacts, this verse paints a picture of a rooted life—steady, nourished, and fruitful. When we ground ourselves in His Word, we grow—not loudly, but deeply. Like a tree by the water, you don’t need to strive to be seen; you just need to stay planted. In time, fruit will come. Strength will remain. And peace will follow.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your Word that grounds and guides me. Help me delight in it daily and choose Your way over the world’s. Make me like a tree, planted near You—unshaken, fruitful, and full of life. May I grow in quiet strength, rooted in truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
