“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Psalm 91:1

Today’s Word

This verse invites us into a place of deep security—a refuge not built by human hands but by the presence of God Himself. To “dwell” means to stay, to make one’s home. When we remain close to Him, we find safety not just from life’s dangers, but from the fears that try to overwhelm us.

The shadow of the Almighty isn’t a place of distance but of closeness—so near that His presence covers and protects us. Even when the world feels uncertain, we can rest in the assurance that those who stay near to God are never unguarded, never forgotten, and never alone.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being my refuge and covering me with Your presence. Teach me to dwell daily in Your secret place, to rest in Your promises, and to trust that Your protection surrounds me always. May I find peace beneath Your shadow and strength in Your unfailing love. Amen.
