“The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:10
Today’s Word
Here’s the truth: real joy doesn’t come from what’s around us. It comes from God. His joy is steady, unshakable, and available no matter what is happening. It’s the kind of joy that doesn’t disappear when problems come. It’s a joy that gives you strength when your body is tired, your mind is racing, and your heart feels heavy.
Think about it: even in the darkest moments, when nothing seems to make sense, when fear and doubt try to take over, God’s joy is still there. It’s like an anchor for your heart, keeping you steady and grounded, reminding you that you are never alone.
So today, don’t just look for joy in the little things. Look for it in Him. Let it fill your heart and mind. Let it strengthen you. And remember—your joy is a gift, and it’s meant to empower you to live fully, love freely, and walk boldly. No storm is too strong, no challenge too big, no worry too heavy for the joy that comes from God.
Prayer
Father, thank You that Your joy is my strength. Thank You that it doesn’t depend on circumstances, but on Your presence. Fill me with Your joy today, Lord, so I can stand firm, face life with hope, and shine Your light wherever I go. Teach me to rejoice always, to trust always, and to let Your joy carry me through every challenge. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
