“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts...”

Colossians 3:15

Today’s Word

Peace is not something we are trying to get from God—it's something He has already placed within us through His Spirit. Many people allow circumstances, emotions, or reports to dictate how they feel, but God's plan is for His peace to be the ruling force in their lives.

The word "rule" in this verse means to act as an umpire. In other words, God's peace can help us determine whether we are moving in the right direction or allowing ourselves to be led by fear, pressure, or uncertainty. When your heart is at rest, you can hear His guidance more clearly.

The enemy would love for you to become distracted by worry and overwhelmed by what you see around you. But God has given you something greater. His peace is a supernatural force that guards your heart and mind. When challenges arise, choose to turn your attention to His promises instead of the problem.

Today, refuse to let anxiety have the final say. Feed on God's Word, spend time in His presence, and allow His peace to rule in every decision. As you keep your heart anchored in Him, you'll find strength, clarity, and confidence for whatever lies ahead.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the peace You have placed within me. I choose to let Your peace rule in my heart today. I refuse to be moved by fear, worry, or circumstances. Your Word is my foundation, and Your Spirit is my guide. Help me stay sensitive to Your leading and confident in Your faithfulness. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
