“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.”
Ephesians 2:8
Today’s Word
In Christ alone, you are complete. Not partially complete. Not conditionally accepted. Completely and eternally positioned in Him.
For so long, many believers have lived trying to qualify for what has already been freely given. We pray harder, promise to do better, and attempt to fix ourselves before coming to God. But the Gospel is not about self-improvement. It is about substitution. Jesus became what we were so we could become what He is.
You are not trying to become righteous. In Christ, you already are. The moment you believed, God placed you in His Son. That means your identity is no longer rooted in your past performance, your mistakes, or even your emotions. Your identity is rooted in what Jesus accomplished on the cross.
When you truly understand this, pressure lifts. Fear loses its grip. Shame no longer has a voice. You stop waking up wondering if God is disappointed in you, and you start resting in the truth that He sees you through Jesus.
In Christ alone, you stand accepted. In Christ alone, you stand forgiven. In Christ alone, you stand empowered to live differently—not because you are trying to earn love, but because you already have it.
Grace is not permission to fail; it is power to rise. And when you believe you are righteous, you begin to live like it. That is the transforming power of understanding who you are in Him.
Prayer
Father, thank You that my salvation is a gift. Thank You that my righteousness is not earned but received. Help me rest in my position in Christ and live from the freedom You have already given me. I choose to stand in grace today, confident in who I am because of Jesus. In Jesus’ name, amen.
