At Daybreak I Seek the Lord! March 16, 2026

“In the morning, Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait expectantly.”

Psalm 5:3

Today’s Word

At the rising of the sun, my heart turns to the Lord. Before the noise of the day begins and before the weight of the week settles upon my shoulders, I lift my voice to God who is my refuge.

For the Lord is my strength and my shield. When the path before me seems uncertain, He goes before me. When my heart grows weary, He renews my spirit. The days ahead are not hidden from Him, and the battles of this week are already in His hands.

Therefore I will not be troubled. I will begin this week with praise upon my lips and trust within my heart. For the Lord who guided me yesterday will also lead me today and in the days to come.

Let my work be done with diligence, my words spoken with wisdom, and my heart remain steadfast in the presence of my God.

Blessed is the one who begins the day seeking the Lord, for he shall walk in peace and not in fear.

Prayer

O Lord, my God, at the dawn of this week I seek You. Guide my steps and steady my heart. Be my wisdom in every decision and my strength in every trial. Let my life bring honor to Your name today and throughout this week. Amen.
